Privacy policy

Effective date: 17 September 2026

The short version

  • The only personal information we collect is an email address, and only from grown-ups who sign up for our free printables.
  • We don't run ads, analytics or tracking tools on this website.
  • We never sell or rent your information.
  • You can unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your information, at any time.

Who we are

What's That, Remy? makes animated videos for children ages 3–7 that answer the questions little ones ask, plus free printable activities for families and classrooms. This policy covers whatsthatremy.com and the emails we send. To reach us, write to hello@whatsthatremy.com.

Who this website is for

Our cartoons are made for children, but this website's sign-up forms are for parents, caregivers and teachers only. Children should not enter their email address. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you sign up for a printable or our email list.
  • Basic email activity. Our email provider, Kit, records whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, and when you subscribed or unsubscribed.
  • Messages you send us, if you write to our email address.

We don't ask for names, ages, photos, phone numbers or home addresses on this website.

How we use it

  • To send you the printable you asked for.
  • To send you new free printables and news about new episodes. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To reply when you write to us.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run this website and our emails, and only so they can do that job:

  • Kit (kit.com) stores our email list and sends our emails. Kit's privacy policy
  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) hosts this website and keeps it secure. Like any web host, it processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. Cloudflare's privacy policy

We may also share information if the law requires it. We never sell or rent it to anyone.

Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track

This website doesn't use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or social media plug-ins. We don't track visitors across other websites, and we don't allow other companies to do so on our site. Our fonts and images are stored on our own site, so viewing a page doesn't send your information to font or image services. Because nothing tracks you here, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. Our host may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to protect the site from an attack.

Links to YouTube and other sites

Our videos play on YouTube, and we link to our pages on Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. When you follow a link, that company's own privacy policy applies. Our videos on YouTube are marked "Made for Kids," which turns off personalized ads and comments on them.

Children's privacy

If you believe a child under 13 has given us their email address, please write to hello@whatsthatremy.com and we'll delete it.

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep your email address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we'll remove it from our list within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep a record. This website and Kit both use encrypted (https) connections, and we limit access to our email list to the people who run What's That, Remy?

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email.
  • See, correct or delete your information: email hello@whatsthatremy.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

These choices are open to everyone, including residents of California and other states with privacy laws.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, for example when we open a shop for our activity packs, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the changes affect how we use your email address, we'll tell subscribers by email first.
